Refund & Cancellation Policy

In accordance with European consumer protection legislation, you may cancel your paid �35 membership up to two weeks after the original date of payment, as long as you have not used the service.  Due to the nature of your purchase we cannot offer refunds if you have already contacted, or even viewed any Au pair or family contact information after your membership has been activated.

As soon as you have accessed any Au pair or family contact details, the service is deemed to be provided completely. We will, of course, refund any double payment; simply let us know as soon as possible.

Membership Extensions

If you have been unable to satisfy your requirements within the 100 days of your membership, contact us just before your original membership expires and we will extend it for an additional 100 days completely free of charge.

Terms of Service:

The Au Pair Company website is a service provided to you by The Au Pair Company Ltd.  Although registered profile information is freely available for viewing, we are not a full service agency, merely an introduction agency; we are not therefore able to verify specific details or claims made by either Au Pairs or Families who have registered on this website.  Contact details are only made available to full members, where we have at least verified a working e-mail address and linked this using a credit card verification system

These Terms of Service govern your use of this site and its Services. Your use of this site and of our Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Service and creates a binding agreement, so please read them carefully. The Au Pair Company Ltd may change these Terms from time to time, so please check back periodically. The Au Pair Company Ltd claims no ownership rights to any information or image contained in your profile. For the sole purpose of displaying your images and personal information through The Au Pair Company, you grant to The Au Pair Company Ltd a non-exclusive license to use, display and present such images and information through The Au Pair Company website, accessible via the Internet and through search engines that index The Au Pair Company.

Schedule Registration on The Au Pair Company is free. By clicking the button,
"submit - I agree to terms" you are agreeing to the General Terms of Service.  A paid Membership is not required to list your profile or to search through The Au Pair Company database. Once registered, you may decide to purchase a 100-day Membership for �35 to gain full access to contact information. There are no additional placement fees or commissions charged by The Au Pair Company Ltd .

Testimonials

With regard to the Testimonials listed on the site, it is sometimes necessary to change names or photos either at the request of the author, or at our own discretion.  Please therefore accept these records only as a guide to the feedback that some of our members have given us, verbally or otherwise. 

As condition of your membership of this site and The Au Pair Company’s service, you agree that you shall:

(a)   Not to include your direct contact information such as an email address, telephone number, chat address or personal web page address in any photo, image or text field which does not specifically request such information: But that all given contact information by you, about you, is accurate and true

(b)   Not attempt to subvert the membership system or direct users to any other web site, location or directory where your contact information may be obtained.

(c)   Not to upload or post any information or advertisement that may be considered as competitive to the Au Pair Company service. Solicitation for services by any means, other than those offered or directly approved by The Au Pair Company, to its registered users or Members is strictly forbidden. And under no circumstances shall the harvesting and commercial re-use of emails be allowed.

(d)   Not to share your membership or contact information with any other person or disclose your password to any third parties or share it with any third parties. If, despite the foregoing, you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf.

(e)   Not to upload post, email or otherwise transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, vulgar and invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable.

(f)     Not to upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software.

(g)   Not to attempt to interfere with or disrupt this site or servers or networks connected to this site, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to this site;

(h)   Not exhibit expressions of abuse, offensive language and imagery, obscenity, or pornography, including, but not limited to, child abuse, explicitly sexual situations, or any other material that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable law, or violating any laws or regulations of any governing body having jurisdiction over The Au Pair Company Ltd, or users.

(i)      To agree to receive e-mail communication from The Au Pair Company Ltd where relevant to the use of the website itself.  Your e-mail address will not be passed on by the Au Pair Company Ltd to third parties for marketing use.

Breach of any of the above conditions may constitute grounds for blocking your access to this site, removal of posted material and cancellation of your registration and membership without refund.  More serious breaches may result in civil or criminal prosecution by the relevant authorities.
