First Aid Training Courses
We highly recommend that your au pair receives some basic First Aid training.  Details of all courses can be found at the St John Ambulance website at www.sja.org.uk.   They offer the following courses designed to meet the needs of home or leisure activities.  Just three hourse is all it takes to learn how to save a life.

  • Emergency life support  giving you the essential skills to save a life including CPR
  • Basic first aid about every day first aid; cuts and scrapes, minor burns and scales
  • Family first aid for famlies to learn first aid together.  The course covers the same content as Basic First Aid and also includes asthma, heart attacks, serious bleeding and burns, anaphylactic shock, seizures and strokes.  The course takes six hours. 

Judo in Kent
Both junior and senior judo sessions available.  Headcorn Judo Club, just outside Maidstone in Kent, is an established, friendly, family-run BJA Judo Club based at the village hall.  Friday evenings and Sunday mornings.  3rd Dan Senior Coach and UKCC Level 2 Qualified Assistant.  Visit www.kentjudo.com

This website comes highly recommended.  Rated one of theTop 50 Telegraph Websites 2009, this schools network is an excellent online community for parents of school aged children.  You can find second hand pianos and other instruments, holiday exchanges and time shares, second hand uniform and private tutors, to name but a few.  Very reasonable advertising rates for advertisers.  Well worth a visit.
