Welcome to The Au Pair Company Ltd.  A user friendly, family run UK website launched in 2004 and designed to help match families specifically within the United Kingdom with a selection of skilled au pairs from around the globe. Simply click here to search our database of several thousand au pairs.

Free registration  Register now to create your own
aupair or family profile.  It’s free.  It’s quick.  It’s easy.  You can detail bespoke requirements, upload a photo, hide your profile and use the advanced search facility to fine tune your requirements, helping find your ideal au pair or family.

Our mission statement  "To offer families an extensive range of graduate au pairs (male, female & couples) who can offer more than just standard childcare, many of whom will be already in the UK and available for interview."   Most of our au pairs are not only experienced, but offer a range of additional skills, such as the ability to coach tennis, judo, or football.  Some also have First Aid qualifications; others are excellent cooks, and some are qualified teachers.

These additional skills help add value to this important role, not just for children but also the entire family.  Once registered, use of our Advanced Search feature will locate au pairs already living near you, whether you need an au pair in London, Devon, or Manchester, allowing you to meet and interview them as part of your selection process.  You can even locate babysitters, some of whom are MENCAP volunteers & CRB checked.

Paid membership & contacting au pairs
Once you find your perfect au pair, or au pair couple, a one-off membership fee of £35 will unlock access to all contact details on the website, so you can contact them directly.  Membership lasts for 100 days. You must have first registered and also be logged-in, then in the ’My Account’ area you have to select the secure on-line ’Pay Here’ option through SAGE & HSBC.  Members also enjoy access to a UK direct telephone helpline.

Au pair safety  Au pairs should make contact through a landline, not just via mobiles, ensuring that they talk to "mum".  Au pairs should never send money in advance to anyone for either travel or visas.  We suggest that they do not communicate with a family (or their agent) that requests any form of advance payment.  Au pairs should arrange return travel themselves, the link below outlines the latest UK entry requirements.

The
Home Office website  details changes that were made last year to the original au pair scheme.  The latest information outlines the current entry requirements for prospective au pairs to the UK.  Au pairs should always arrange their own visas and check specific requirements if working outside the EU.  Most au pairs will want to study at a School of English as this is a key aspect of the original au pair scheme.
